Mark 10:45: “For even the Son of Man did not come to be served, but to serve and to give His life a ransom for many.”
Are you looking for a way to make a difference in our community? Do you know about Serve Day 2017?
Serve Day 2017 is an annual outreach day that started just over 10 years ago by our partner and fellow ARC church, Church of the Highlands. Over the years Church of the Highlands have invited their Grow and ARC churches across the United States to participate.
In 2016, over 300 churches and thousands of people came together to show the love of Jesus through a sacrifice of their time to those in need at local schools, nursing homes and local jails. Pretty much anything you can imagine was done on this special day.
Thousands of man hours later, communities across our country felt the presence and love of God as they became an example of Christ that day.
By serving our community we will be making an impact not only to our community, but we will also be touching individual lives and hearts as well.
Come be a part of this fantastic opportunity! This year Fuse will be doing two projects onJuly15th. One is an outdoor project and one an indoor (more ministry driven project).
The outdoor project will be at our Fuse Campus and is basically an outdoor serve day to help with the exterior of the building and grounds. Hands down, the biggest life-changing outreach we do every single week is our Sunday service where people are being saved and surrendering to Jesus every week. By working to improve our campus, we are working to better serve and reach the people of our city!
The indoor project will be through Brooksdale Senior Living Center. This one we will be ministering to the Elderly community that live at their facility. We will be assisting them with their Saturday actives, which includes bingo, a picnic, and a sing-along.
We’ve done this once before and it’s proved to work well for us as volunteers and really ministers to those folks.
Both groups will be meeting at 9:00 am at the church. We will assemble, talk and pray. At 9:30 the campus work will begin and the group going to Brooksdale will exit and be at their facility ready to serve by 10:00.
